Owen and Beru Lars Cast!

As the first days of principal photography for Star Wars: Episode II are underway as planned in Sydney, Australia, Casting Director Robin Gurland continues to select acting talent from surrounding areas to fill the roles of the film's many new characters.
Joel Edgerton has been cast in Episode II. In Episode II, Edgerton will play the role of Owen Lars, the man who will go on to raise Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. Like Ewan McGregor before him, Edgerton will have an older model of his character to pattern his performance after. Phil Brown played the part of Owen in the original Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
