New POTJ Figures!

The Official Star Wars Site has announced that Hasbro's first wave of 3 3/4" figures for the spring of 2002 should continue to please collectors as it features first-time Power of the Jedi characters and key troop-building warriors. The figures planned for this wave are...

Queen Amidala Royal Decoy - In times of danger, Queen Amidala must rely on her handmaidens to serve as secret bodyguards by posing as the Queen. Sabé, her most trusted handmaiden, is presented in the Queen's black travel gown and includes bicep articulation for regal gestures and poses.

Eeth Koth - Posed in an aggressive fighting stance, the Jedi Master is the first figure to feature the new-style sculpted lightsaber.

Rebel Trooper - Tantive IV Defender - As seen in the opening of A New Hope, this new troop is articulated at the head, shoulders, waist, legs, knees, and ankles so that he may be posed in a crouching fighting position with his blaster.

Zutton - Zutton, (Snaggletooth to old-school collectors) is a Snivvian artist who turned bounty hunter. He comes with a glass that fits into his hand, a blaster pistol attached to a half holster and a bazooka blaster (he's articulated at the knees to pose with it).

FX-7 Medical Droid - The multi-armed medical droid stationed at Echo Base on Hoth, has 19 poseable articulated arms and fits into a recess on the base of the Deluxe Luke Skywalker in Bacta Tank.

Imperial Officer - Attempting to escape the ire of Darth Vader, the new officer has articulated hands, legs, waist, shoulders, biceps, and neck so that he may stand at attention with his hands clasped behind his back. He also comes with the traditional blaster.
