8.4.01 How much direction are you given with the animatics? Are there times when watching parts of Episode I where you could say, "Hang on, I directed that scene"? This report comes from the Official Star Wars Site! Answered by: David Dozoretz Well, we get to make a lot of really important and fun decisions when we're making the animatics, but everything is ultimately up to George Lucas. The great thing is that it's a process -- a journey of experimentation that we get to take with George. We may get the opportunity to say "Hey wouldn't it be cool if this spaceship moved like this?" but George decides if that is what he wants. He, as the film's director, makes the creative calls.
