AOTC Droid RIC-920!

The Official Star Wars Site has a great article about a droid from Attack of the Clones designated RIC-920! See a picture of the droid here!

Found throughout Asia and the India subcontinent, a rickshaw is a primitive form of transportation wherein a driver pulls a covered wagon through the city streets. The impoverished cities of Tatooine have a similar conveyance. RIC-920 is a wheeled menial worker, hauling travelers with tired legs through the bustle of Mos Espa. His fares range from criminal dregs to misplaced nobles, and the droid has even been seen pulling a former Naboo Queen and a Padawan apprentice around.

The final design of the rickshaw droid came from Marc Gabbana. "There was one point in the script where Anakin and Padmé needed a form of transportation, and I guess George Lucas wanted a rickshaw droid. The way Doug Chiang communicated it to me was always in very few words, which was good, because it gave me a lot of latitude."

"George wanted a big ball for the wheel," recalls Gabbana. "In my rough drawing, the robot was a lot bigger in relation to the cart itself. It was a lot wider too. Doug noticed it'd be too wide, so he asked me to narrow it quite a bit."
